Koinup Exploration Hud V2.0: Manual

Thank you for aquiring by whatever means the Koinup Exploration Hud v2.0. When you first get the Hud you should just wear it and it should appear on your screen and look a little like the image below.

If you happen to get a white square on the screen then it is still boxed drag it to the floor and unpack it.

There are several things that may look different about yours. Obviously it probably isn't displaying the name "Portishead" as that is my sim. It should however be displaying the name of your sim. That will be followed by either "Discovered", which means the sim has already been discovered on Koinup, Or "UNDISCOVERED", which means that Koinup has no listing for the sim you are in. Simple Eh? ;)

Colour; The hud itself can display in one of 4 colours, depending on where you are or what it is doing.

• Green : Discovered Sim.
• Red : Undiscovered Sim.
• Orange : Checking Koinup feeds for general info.
• Blue : Checking with Koinup for info on the sim.

Main Menu

Once you have clicked the Hud you should see a blue dialog menu like the one pictured above.

• >KoinUp : Takes you to the Koinup Sub Menu.
• >Sim : Takes you to the Current Sims Page on Koinup.
• >SLURL : Generates a SLURL in chat for you.
• Av : Takes you to the Coolest AV Sub Menu.
• Done : Close the menu.
• Cool : Takes you to the Coolest Sims Sub Menu.
• Blog : Takes you to the Latest Koinup Blogs Sub Menu.
• Options : Takes you to the Options Sub Menu.
• Recent : Takes you to the Recent Sims Sub Menu

KoinUp Sub Menu

• >Koinup : Takes you to the main KoinUp page
• >Group : Displays a link to the KoinUp inworld group in Chat.
• back : Takes you back to the main menu

AV Sub Menu

This menu takes you to various pages associated with Koinup's Coolest Avatars. Just pick a number from the list of avatar names to get to the avatar sub menu.

• >Profile : Takes you to the avatars Profile page.
• >Favs : Takes you to the avatars Favourites page.
• back : Takes you back to the main menu
• >Home : Takes you to the avatars Home page.
• >Work : Takes you to the avatars Work page.
• >Coolest : Takes you to the avatars Coolest Images page.

Blog Sub Menu

This menu takes you to one of the five most recent blog posts from the Koinup Blog. Just pick a number from the list of Sim names to get to blog entry.

Options Sub Menu

This menu gives you

• Check : Forces the hud to recheck it's information.
• back : Takes you back to the main menu
• >Help : Brings you to this page. Specifically the Manual Section.
• >Store : Brings you to this page. Specifically the Store Links.
• >Gift : If there are avatars within 20m of you, this option brings up a list of their names and when you pick on it will have the update server send them a hud all of their very own. ^.^

Koinup Exploration HUD v1.0

This is the first release of the Exploration Hud. The intention behind it is to intergrate the Koinup Photosite better with SecondLife.

This release is pretty simple in comparisson to what I have planned. At the moment it just links you and the sim you are in better with Koinup. When you enter a new sim the Hud checks the Koinup site to see if the sim is already on the site. Whilst it is checking the border and the text will appear blue. Once it has the details the border and text will change to either Green for a sim that exists on the site already, or Red for a sim that is as yet undiscovered by Koinup users.

The other feature that this Hud provides is a direct link to the appropriate page for the sim. If you touch the hud itself it will bring up a Url Dialog that will take you direct to the sim's page on Koinup.
